I've been a West Ham fan now for 15 years and last night was by far the best match I have watched and the best night I have experienced, I have not been that happy as a West Ham fan or football fan in general EVER!!!! ….. What a night indeed – best match at the LS so far; I’ve never seen us so up for it as we were: a pressing game from start to finish that contained Sevilla for most of the match, and the way they all kept their heads. Sevilla are probably technically better than us but we wanted it more. And be in no doubt – we deserved that win, completely. They fell over at the lightest touch, if they lost a tackle they curled up in agony. And the ref allowed himself to be sucked into it. So many bad calls – the crowd was genuinely incensed but the players expected it and kept cool so it didn’t work. If ever 60,000 people willed a win, this was it. 60,000 and 11 – and the noise when those goals went in and the whistle went! Never heard a roar like that, and I don’t think Stratford has either. An amazing night and a brilliant memory. Well done, Irons – bloody well done!

  25. What a win for the Hammers. Hope I can get a ticket for the next match. First one I ever saw was last match in group and very few main players were on and we lost 1-0.   33. Alternative reality: WHU did not bring Souček in 2020. WHU dropped to Championship in 2020. Declan Rice left the club and others left too. They tried to return to PL. But they failed. And today, WHU playing against Milwall middle of the second league.

As a Liverpool fan I used think Rice was one of those English media hyped players, who was okay but overhyped like Gareth Barry, But after watching him at the Euros and seeing how well he plays for West Ham these past two seasons he has turned me into a convert and I now think he is one of the best defensive midfielders in the world. Big up Antonio, by far the man of match keeping the entire backline of Seville busy the entire 120 minutes and he was playing with an injury and was involved with both goals. I don't know how he can be so fit given West Ham never rest him. Southgate is moron for ignoring this guy so long that he now plays for Jamaica.
